Apogee South Beach Overview

Apogee is an impressive building, and it is definitely one of the premier condos in Miami Beach, if not all of South Florida if it lives up to the hype. It is located in the South Pointe area of South Beach nestled between Murano at Portofino and Portofino Towers, and it is directly across Fisher Island and Government Cut, so it has great water views looking south.

Apogee was built by The Related Group of Florida on a 2.88-acre site and 500 linear feet of unobstructed bayfront views on the last waterfront site at the southern tip of South Beach. As the crown jewel of the Related Group, Apogee has been created and designed for the ultra rich and is supposed to surpass Related’s other projects in South Beach like the Icon, Murano Grande, Murano at Portofino and Portofino Tower.

Large Living Spaces. With 67 residences in the entire building, there are only 4 units on each floor on 17 floors (starting on the 6th floor). Each residence has a flow-through design to give each unit a water and city view. the residences are very large with 2 basic sizes. The smaller residences are located in the middle of the building facing north and south and have 3,100 sq. ft. of interior space with 2 balconies totaling about 1,100 sq.ft. and the larger residences are located at the east and west ends of the building with approximately 4,100 sq. ft. of interior space and a 2,400 sq. ft. wrap-around balcony with 270 degree panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean, Biscayne Bay, Miami Beach, Fisher Island and downtown Miami. The pool area is unlike anything I have seen at a condo with pods extending out into the pool and the view overlooking the Government Cut, Fisher Island, the Atlantic Ocean and downtown Miami.

Apogee is definitely different and looks it. Apogee sits on a lit reflecting pool, so it gives the appearance of floating on 40-foot columns. The Lobby and common areas were created by world famous interior designers Yabu Pushelberg, and the architecture by the renowned Sieger Suarez Architectural Partnership. It also features artwork by Cuban-born Jose Bedia, who is Miami-based and whose work is featured in several prominent museums and galleries.
